General Instructions
All road rallies use Route Instructions to give you the course that you should follow. All Route Instructions are based on General Instructions which explain in detail the rules by which the Route Instructions function. You should only read the General Instructions if you want to have fun on the rally. If you want to get hopelessly lost and do an epic fail, then you can skip them.
For the SMSCC road rallies, the Route Instructions are based on the 'SMSCC Generals' linked below. It is essential that the entrant be familiar with these Generals in order to understand the Route Instructions.
For SCCA National and Divisional road rallies, there are the SCCA Road Rally Rules, or 'RRRs'. The 2026 RRRs are linked below.
Most SCCA National and Divisional rallies will also have some
event-specific additions to the RRRs, and these are usually sent to
the entrants soon after online registration for a specific event.
