SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ROADRALLY CHAMPIONSHIP

A series of SCCA-sanctioned navigational roadrallies

 

Beginning Feb. 8, 2025, Santa Monica Sports Car Club (SMSCC) will switch from its famous FFN rallies to daytime rallies -- one on the second Saturday of each even-numbered month. These rallies will vary in format from Tour to Course to Monte Carlo.  Duration will be around 2-3 hours. All roads will be paved and public, and the events will run rain or shine.

 

The SMSCC day rallies will be part of the new SCCA Southern California RoadRally Championship (SCRRC), an annual series of SCCA-sanctioned Regional RoadRallies jointly presented by the SCCA San Diego Region and the SCCA CalClub Region (and its rally affiliates Santa Monica Sports Car Club and Into The Night Rally Team).

 

Championship points shall be awarded for each event based on the entrant’s finishing position in the class they entered for that event. There is no limit to the number of Championship events an entrant may run, but only their top seven scores will be counted toward the Championship. Registration for the SMSCC rallies will open at 9:00am with the first car out at 10:01am.  Start location will be the same one used for the FFNs for the last 50 years – in the parking lot behind the Bank of America at 10300 Sepulveda Blvd, Mission Hills, CA 91345 (southeast corner of the Target plaza parking lot – enter off Devonshire).  General Instructions for the SMSCC rallies may be found at smscc.org. Entry fee will be $30 (per car per rally) and each car must have at least two people (driver and navigator).  At least one person in each car will need to be at least a weekend member of SCCA.  (Weekend memberships will be available online and in person for $15.)
